Release history of COP

This document provides a summary of major changes to COP.

3.0.2 (17.10.2022)
- Improved: 'Backstage|Options|Default Project settings' and 'Project|Settings': Selection box for default steel grades: List items show only valid steel grades
- Fixed: Hollow section joints: If brace angle 'theta' changes and chord plates dimension(s), e.g. side plate length, is set to 'Auto', plate dimension(s) do not updates in UI input control
- Fixed: Import CoP2-files: Double sided joint configurations: Beam lengths of beam 1 and beam 2 are imported interchanged
- Added: Data check for steel grade of chord reinforcements
- Fixed: Import CoP2-files: Double sided beam-to-column joint configurations: Steel grade of suplementray web plates not imported correctly.
- Fixed: Import CoP2-files: COP crashes when reading projects file containing composite joints
- Fixed: Setup: This file 'ReleaseNotes.txt' was not redistributed. It can be found ion the COP installation folder. It can also be displayed when the setup is finished
- New: Page 'Project': List of joint configurations: Double click to select and move to page 'joints'
- New: Pages 'Joints'/'Results': When open the combo box to select current joint configuration: images and some configuration data are shown instead of a plain list
- Fixed: Header plate connection : A data check related to the horizontal distance of bolts, which is only relevant in beam-to-column joint configurations, is made also for beam-to-beam joint configurations
- Fixed: Project settings: No initial values are set for default settings of section or plate materials
- Fixed: Import CoP2-files: Joint configurations are not imported in the correct order 
- Fixed: Import CoP2-files: Beam splices: Bolt pattern of the two end plates may be different 
- Improved: Selection of haunch in 3D view brings haunch data input page to the front
- Fixed: Import CoP2-files: Hollow section joints, width and thickness of side plate not imported correctly
- Fixed: GetAutoLength of chord side wall plate (LatticeJointConfigVM.GetChordSidePlatesLength())
- Fixed: If positive z axis is defined as 'downwards', 3D view does not show correctly the position of braces when changing the brace angle

3.0.1 (27.09.2022)
- Fixed: Trial license not found in some cases
- Fixed: Import CoP2-files with double sided joint configurations: stiffness class for joint modelling not set as pinned for joints 1

3.0.0 (22.09.2022)
New user interface:
- Fully new, modern and responsive user interface (Microsoft Office inspired)
- New 3D graphics
- Improved multi-monitor support
- Menu 'Open' Selecting a project in list of last opened files shows a project preview
- Project templates (standard and user defined)
- "Getting started" help texts and "How to do" tips
- New database manager
Technical changes:
- NOTE: COP 3.x will be installed in an other program directory than CoP2, i.e. a previous versions of CoP2 may be installed at the same time
- Fixed: Secant stiffness on main results view S_j_ini/eta
- Added: Header plate: Data check: Distance bolts to column web
- Added: Type 'Butt weld' for welds of haunch flange
- Fixed: Header plate: Bearing resistance of supporting beam
- Improved: Lattice girder joints: Any combination of supplementary chord flange and chord side plates can be used
- Improved: Lattice girder joints: Output: Better differentiation between main results/detailed results => main results much shorter
- Fixed: Lattice girder joints: Orientation of IH brace on RHS chord must be strong axis
Other changes/improvments:
- New file format '.copx'; import of old '.cop' files. Note: Save as/export to old format not possible
- Added: Design note (Output) includes 3D drawing of the joint configuration
- Modified: Double sided beam-to-beam joint configurations: Both beam cross-section and the connection type/geometry can be different for the two joints
Minor bux fixing
- Fixed: Title of figures in PDF output: "Figure xx" not translated
